StoneLion Puppet Theatre, in partnership with the National WWI Museum and Memorial, is proud to announce “Puppets a-Glow, and Show” a free illuminated art and puppet festival that will light up Kansas City this fall with the addition of a giant illuminated puppet show.
Join us Friday or Saturday, November 14-15, 2025, on the grounds of the Museum and Memorial on the North side for an unforgettable night of glowing art installations, aerialists, fire performers, roving entertainers, interactive crafts, local food trucks, music, hot air balloon glow and a dazzling illuminated giant puppet show.
Each evening concludes with an all-new giant illuminated puppet show: The Fable of the Long Spoons, performed live on the Museum and Memorial North Plaza. This community-driven performance tells a timeless tale—and highlights the importance of compassion and cooperation—brought to life with glowing puppets, vibrant storytelling and the talent of local performers.
“This is more than a performance—it’s a Kansas City tradition that brings people together under the stars with art, light and meaning,” said Heather Loewenstein, Artistic Director at StoneLion Puppet Theatre.
