Pershing Lecture Series: The Naval Revolution

Innovations in military technology prior to the First World War transformed land warfare. In those same decades, changes in ship design, propulsion and armament – along with increased use of submarines and sea mines – revolutionized war at sea.

Historian Richard Faulkner dives into British admiral John “Jackie” Fisher’s role in leading these fundamental changes in naval technology, theory and doctrine.
