Join us for the next installment of Music On The Move—a free, all-ages concert series at Greenwood Social Hall powered by a generous grant from the Live Music Society, dedicated to expanding access to live performance experiences in Kansas City.
This month, we’re thrilled to present Emmy Award–winning singer, songwriter, and actress Deonna Marie.
Deonna Marie is a vocalist, storyteller, and creator whose work is grounded in resilience, discipline, and an unflinching dedication to emotional truth. Classically trained and shaped by a remarkable artistic journey, she brings a presence that is both commanding and deeply human. Her performances blend technical mastery with expressive vulnerability, inviting audiences into a sonic world that resonates long after the final note.
As an educator and vocal coach, she empowers others to discover and strengthen their own voices with clarity, intuition, and care. Kansas City audiences may remember her unforgettable performance in the West 18th Street Fashion Show’s pandemic-era film Summer in Hindsight, where she delivered a breathtaking rendition of Schubert’s Gretchen am Spinnrade.
