Have you ever watched a bout and thought, “What if we just… changed the rules?”
Well buckle up, because January 10th our KCRW Travel Team is stepping onto the track for a one-of-a-kind showdown where YOU get to shake things up!
That’s right! Throughout the game, the crowd will have the chance to unlock wild, goofy, and downright diabolical twists that our skaters will have to adapt to on the fly. All proceeds go directly toward supporting our Travel Team athletes as they represent Kansas City on the road.
Think you can outsmart a derby player? Try throwing challenges like:
• Reverse the track! Everyone has to skate backwards.
• Power Start! Give your favorite jammer a boost.
• Feet Down Only! Wheels aren’t allowed to leave the ground.
• Arms Behind Backs! No arm usage aka good luck, blockers.
• Add a Surprise Blocker! Stack the pack for chaos.
Every twist you unlock helps fuel our skaters’ travel, training, and competition costs, while giving you a front-row seat to the funniest, weirdest, and most unpredictable derby you’ve ever seen.
So bring your voice, bring your hype, and get ready to cheer, challenge, and champion your KCRW Travel Team like never before!

Embrace the Grape will have a cash bar and Smoke 'n' Seoul will provide the food! Plus, ice cream from our friends at Scream Queens!
Our bouts are all-ages, family-friendly events; kids 5 and under are admitted free! Merch will be available for purchase during and after the games. 100% of proceeds from our merch sales go back to support the league. GA and VIP seating available.
