Surrounded by photographs and memorabilia, Vietnam-era veterans came together here to share their stories and reflect on a legacy of service passed down through their families.This program features a screening of In Their Own Words: Mexican American Vietnam Era Veterans Share Their Stories, a film inspired by Kansas Stories of the Vietnam War, a Humanities Kansas initiative led by Dr. Gene T. Chavez, Ed.D. The film highlights the voices of Mexican American veterans whose stories are being preserved for future generations and archived locally, at the Kansas State Historical Society, and at the Library of Congress. Join us for an afternoon of remembrance, history, and shared legacy.*Pay What You Like means that a fee is required to attend this program, but the amount you pay is at your discretion.
