She is the owner of Wadulisi’s LLC, a business focused on Indigenous foods, cultural education, and community programming. Melissa recently completed her culinary education and is known for her dynamic, culturally grounded cooking demonstrations and storytelling workshops.She is also the founder of The Hive: The Indigenous Collective, a nonprofit currently in the final stages of receiving 501(c)(3) status. The Hive focuses on Indigenous food sovereignty, cultural preservation, and access to educational programming for urban Native communities.Melissa has been featured on KTWU’s “Working Capital”, and her work will be highlighted in an upcoming article in the Lawrence Times. She is committed to preserving and sharing Indigenous knowledge through food, storytelling, and hands-on learning.
