It was in 1987 when the Kansas City Museum resumed the Fairy Princess tradition after Kline’s Department Store had closed in early 1970s.It was in 1935 that Kline’s on Main Street, downtown Kansas City, had first initiated The Fairy Princess event to promote their new “Toyland” Department.
