This weekend, everything is taken care of for you—including all meals and snacks—so you can recharge after the busy start to the school year and connect with fellow educators in a meaningful way.Audience: Designed for Grade 4–6 teachers, this experience is open to any educator interested in hands-on learning and reconnecting with their sense of curiosity and play. A moderate level of fitness is required.The Resources: A weekend without planning? Absolutely. Each participant will receive a portfolio of classroom-ready resources to support their teaching throughout the year. The Path Less Taken materials are grounded in nature-based stories from the local landscape and are primarily aligned with the science curriculum, with cross-curricular connections integrated where appropriate. These resources include high-quality graphics, engaging content, downloadable slide decks, and student activities, along with interactive, supportive technology designed to meet the diverse needs of your classroom. Here is a  of what you will get.Thursday, September 14 (7:00 - 8:00): Pre-Trip Online MeetingThis will be a quick Meet & Greet to help ease any pre-trip aprehensions, ask questions and get to know your future adventure buddies! We will review of waiver and the itinerary, go over packing tips and the menu, cover safety protocols, and have a Q&A period.Saturday, September 19: Day 1 of Backpacking TripMeet at the Elbow trailhead at 9:00 AM to sign waivers, pack group gearHike 1.2 km (+122 m) to Elbow Lake CampgroundCamp-set up & LunchHike up the Rae Glacier Valley, 5.9 km (+299 m).
