Hike in, stay for the afternoon and hike out.About this EventThis is a full day Intermediate hike. We start at the south parking lot for Upper Kananaskis lake. Starting off with an easy trail that winds around the lake. We will be sure to stop at the small waterfall along the way.- After leaving Upper Lake Trail, this is a steady climb through a subalpine forest. Plenty of switchbacks but be prepared to climb. The trail terminates at a beautiful alpine lake surrounded by mountain peaks and alpine meadows. We will be spending the afternoon there, timing will depend on weather and safety. You can set up to paint, fish, take photos or just enjoy your day.IT is a great spot for photos and a peaceful setting for lunch. A round trip of 8.9 km and 607m of elevation. Expect a intermediate hike .We will be meeting at the trail head at 9am . All details and maps will be sent 7days before.** Please note this trail is in a common Bear active area, The trail may closed if the bear is around the lake area, the alternate trail will be Chester lake. You will be notified via email of any changes.*****Hiking time is variable depending on the group. There is always plenty of time for lunch, photos and discussion.
