As we walk along the banks of the Kananaskis River and enjoy a snack beside the picturesque Troll Falls, you'll discover the incredible adaptations, behaviours, and conservation stories of these powerful birds of prey.We'll also visit the counting station operated by the , where we'll try to spot migrating eagles and learn about one of Alberta's most inspiring citizen science initiatives. With a little luck, we may witness these aerial giants soaring overhead on their epic journey.Location & LogisticsThis excursion takes place on the Troll Falls and Hay Meadow Trail System near Nakiska and the Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge. The route is a gentle 3.5 km loop with approximately 60 metres of elevation gain.Designed specifically for Educators, this 3-hour experience (9:00 AM to 12:00 PM) offers an opportunity to connect with fellow teachers, deepen your connection to the local landscape, and gather fresh ideas for bringing nature-based learning into your classroom.
