- **Event Description**: Looking to learn to dance or improve your skills? This fall we will be running two sets of our Swing 1 and Swing 2 lesson series back to back. These series will be seven lessons each and run weekly on Wednesday nights. 

Swing 1 @ 6-7 PM & Swing 2 @ 7-8 PM.

The first run of lessons will be running from: Sept 16th - Oct 28th.

And the second run from: Nov 4th - Dec 16th.

If you are completely new and eager it is possible to register for Swing 1 in the first run and move immediately into Swing 2 come November. 

If you have some dance experience already and/or have joined us for a number of social dances over the spring and summer seasons you may register for Swing 2 in the first run of lessons. 

Lessons can be taken at your own pace. Swing 1 will directly prepare you for Swing 2 but there is never any harm in repeating a series either to further your understanding of the material or to try dancing another role.

SWING 1
For new, eager dancers! This lesson series offers much more than the beginner drop-in lessons at our social dances. In this series you will learn the essential technique, rhythm, and moves that are iconic to swing dancing. Each lesson builds on the previous lesson, and the instructor caters to the class skill level. If you want to invest your time really getting to know this dance, then this series is for you!

SWING 2
For dancers who: Completed Swing 1 lesson series or Learned the 6-count rhythm at our social dances or Continuing dancers who have already taken this series, other series, & still want to learn.

In this series, there are many different topics that can be covered, including (but not limited to): 8-count rhythm, Charleston, musicality, technique, moves/combinations, partner connection, slow vs fast dancing. The topic of the class will be decided by the instructors based on their assessment of the dancers in their class. If you are keen on continuing your learning and improving your swing dancing, then this series is for you!



Each 7 Week Series costs $140/per person. No Partner Necessary.
(We offer a 10% discount to students and a 20% discount to those with a membership.)

*Please note when registering: If you are taking multiple series, you will need to fill out the registration form twice as it is required to add the item to your cart. Once you fill out the form, it will bring you to your cart, you can leave this page to fill out the registration for a second series without consequence. When you are brought to your cart the second time, both items should be there and you can complete checkout a single time and pay for everything together.*
