Private Mortgage Investing with Bernard Immel

What if you collected the mortgage payments?

Join us on Thursday, October 22, as R.E.N.T.S. welcomes Bernard Immel of BGI Financial for an evening exploring private mortgage investing.

Bernard will walk through examples from his own investing experience, explain how the lending process works, and share what he looks at when assessing a mortgage investment.

We’ll cover:

• How private mortgage investing compares with owning a rental property.
• The role eligible mortgage investments can play within an RRSP or TFSA.
• How to assess a borrower’s income, credit, equity and property.
• Why mortgage position, loan-to-value and the repayment plan matter.
• How fees and lending risks affect an investment.

Whether you already own investment property or you’re curious about getting started, come learn about another approach and connect with others interested in real estate here in Kamloops.
