The Parol of Hope workshop is a cultural community event that teaches children the Filipino tradition of parol making while raising funds for victims of the recent typhoon in the Philippines. Growing up, I didn’t learn much about my Filipino culture, and now I want to give Filipino children here in Canada the opportunity to connect with their heritage. Our culture is such an important part of who we are, and through this workshop, I hope to not only educate our young ones but also support our fellow Filipinos who have been affected by the recent typhoon. All proceeds from this event will be donated to typhoon relief organizations in the Philippines. Please help us spread the word by sharing this event with your friends and family.
