- **Event Description**: Balboa is a smooth, close-embrace swing dance that originated in Southern California during the 1920’s and 1930’s, designed for crowded dance floors. Characterised by small, intricate, and fast footwork, it allows couples to dance comfortably to quick-tempo swing music (up to 200+ BPM) while maintaining a very close, upright connection.

This eight-week series offers a ground-up introduction to Bal, with each class building on the last. It’s designed for complete beginners, so no prior experience is required. Those with a background in dance or other movement-based practices may find the material easier to pick up, but everyone is welcome.

TIME: Wednesdays @ 7:00- 8:00 PM.

PRICE: $160 per person. (Students and Members 10-25% off)

LOCATION: Bridgeview Theatre, 106B Tranquille Rd.

(Note: The entrance to Bridgeview Theatre faces Larkspur St. Parking available on Larkspur St., in front of the venue, and Leigh Rd.)
