Another Rally? We hope not!
Tentative Date: Saturday, November 29, 1-2PM
Hosted by: Maternity Matters Kamloops
Status: This rally will proceed only if there is no meaningful, public progress toward stabilizing maternity care in Kamloops.
Families, providers, and community partners turned out in the hundreds to demand safe, reliable maternity care close to home. We shouldn’t have to rally again—but unless we see concrete steps and clear timelines from decision-makers, we will.
Why we’re preparing a second rally -
As you’re aware, Kamloops’ maternity system remains under extreme strain.
Families should not have to question if the care they need will be available close to home.
We’re asking for transparent, time-bound actions that strengthen team-based care across providers—specialists, midwives, family physicians, nurse practitioners, and nurses.
What we’re asking for -
1. A clear public update with specific actions and dates to stabilize and sustain care.
2. Resourcing and staffing commitments that protect safe, timely, comprehensive maternity services.
3. A collaborative plan developed with local providers and community representation.
Be ready!
Hold the date: Saturday, November 29, 1-2PM
Bring respectful signs. Families and supporters welcome. This is a peaceful, non-partisan event.
Accessibility and family-friendly details will be provided with the final notice.

Another Rally? We hope not. But our community is ready to stand together again if we must.
