- **Event Description**: Athletes run an absolutely gorgeous course that follows rivers and pine trees with aspens mixed in.
Formerly known as Soapstone Half, this race was renamed the High Uinta Half Marathon because it starts at a high elevation in the high Uintah wilderness at Wolf Creek Pass, and the course runs down around 2700 feet.
As it is one of the prettiest courses in Utah, and with it starting out in such a high elevation, often times there is snow on the sides of the highways during this time of year, making it a great relief and a much nicer place to run as it is 20 degrees cooler than the temperatures in the valley.  
We look forward to seeing our athletes next year for this fantastic course and the beauty they will enjoy while running it.
