We have adopted a three mile stretch of highway along M-72 just west of Kalkaska and we'd love your help in getting it cleaned up! We will focus on one side of the highway at a time, as time and weather allow.

Please meet at the District Office (406 S. Cedar St, Suite A, Kalkaska) to caravan/carpool to the adopted section.

Volunteers need to be able to walk on uneven terrain on the side of the highway for 2-3 hours. Closed-toe shoes are required; long pants are recommended.

Equipment (gloves, safety vests, grabbers tools) are provided. 

Upcoming Cleanup:

Fall cleanup: Wednesday, September 16, 2026 from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM

RSVPs are recommended incase of need to reschedule. You may do so by calling or texting your name and number of volunteers to 231-564-9055.
