Jen Sygit Trio

We are excited to welcome Jen Sygit back to Norther Natural, this time with her trio!
Sometimes traditional, sometimes contemporary, always imbued with a raw sense of honesty, Lansing based Independent Music Award winning songwriter Jen Sygit wields a rare and powerful talent that seems equally comfortable performing ethereal folk tunes, crooning sultry swing numbers or soulfully belting gritty alt country ballads. An accomplished multi-instrumentalist who isn’t afraid to test boundaries and cross genres, Jen’s varied musical style and poignant, melancholic lyrics draw audiences in and hold them captivated.
Enlisting the talents of two seasoned Michigan performers- Emily Slomovits (Ann Arbor) and Eric Engblade (Grand Rapids)- Jen formed the “Jen Sygit Trio” late 2023 and the band has been garnering rave reviews everywhere they roam. Listeners can expect lots of three part harmony and eclectic, bluegrass-flavored arrangements.
