Join us for a fun and educational Forest School day as we become wildlife detectives!
FREE for Pass-holders
$5 drop in donation for non pass-holders
We’ll begin with a guided scat hunt around the grounds of Maple Grove Township Community Center, searching for clues that animals leave behind. After collecting observations, we’ll gather together to identify different types of scat and learn which animals they belong to.
We’ll talk about:
🦊 Local wildlife species in our area
🌲 What scat can tell us about an animal’s diet and behavior
🔍 How scientists and trackers use clues to study ecosystems
🐾 Respectful observation and safety when exploring nature
This hands-on experience encourages curiosity, observation skills, and a deeper understanding of the animals that share our environment.
Please dress for the weather and outdoor exploration (boots recommended).
Perfect for learners who love nature, animals, and getting a little muddy while discovering the wild world around them!
