He cut his teeth on the improv stage at Upright Citizen Brigade in New York City (the original 26th Street location). His standup has been referred to as disarmingly funny and charming, drawing from his real life experiences and Detroit, Michigan upbringing.Aaron has had the pleasure of opening for some of his comedy heroes, Robert Kelly, Rich Vos, Bonnie MacFarlane, Doug Stanhope, and many more. He is proud to call Laugh Factory his Chicago home comedy club and New York Comedy Club his NYC home comedy Club, where he performs regularly while also headlining clubs across the country such as Zanies, Comedy Vault Batavia, & The Drop Comedy Club. He's performed at many comedy festivals including the Del Close Marathon as well as Skankfest Vegas. He’ll be returning to Skankfest 10, November of 2026.Putnam is also the founder of stand-up In Recovery, where he brings Stand-up Comedy to treatment centers for young teens and adults that have experienced the struggles of addiction.
