- **Event Description**: In 2026, for the first time, the Far North is hosting a Fabric-a-brac – we can’t wait!

Fabric-a-brac is a fun fabric and sewing supplies market where you can shop for all sorts of fabric/fibre, patterns, haberdashery, tools, accessories and more. It brings the sewing and creative community together to share stashes, stories, new trends and delight in our mutual love of textiles.

Fabric-a-brac is volunteer-run, and all proceeds will be donated to Far North Hospice.

There will be a scissor-sharpener on-site, so bring your blunt scissors to give them a new lease of life!

We are planning spot prizes in the afternoon and raffles throughout.

We will have tea, coffee and sweet treats for sale in our pop-up cafe, so you can sit down and chat over your new projects and fabric purchases. All proceeds from the cafe also go to Hospice.

Donating fabric

If you don’t have enough of a stash for a table, but would like to help Hospice out, you can donate to be sold on the day to raise funds for Far North Hospice. Simply drop off your good quality stash to one of the following locations:

- Coopers Beach Hospice Shop | 253 State Highway 10, Cable Bay 0420
- Kaitaia Hospice Shop | 167 Commerce Street, Kaitaia 0410
- Far North Hospice Centre | 58a Matthews Ave Kaitaia.

BRING CASH as many of the stallholders will be selling by cash only.
