Silverstream’s much-loved Annual Duck Race is back!
Come on down to Tirikatene Reserve on Saturday 21st Feb at 11am for the Annual Silverstream Duck Race.
There are some amazing prizes up for grabs for both the fastest ducks and the most creative designs.
From 11am there will be some lawn games with spot prizes. If you are entering the duck-decorating competition, please drop your duck off at the Silverstream tent by 11.30.
Bring your family and a picnic and let’s enjoy the day together as a community!
Duck Sales
Ducks will be available from Monday 26th Jan for $3 each (cash only) and all money raised will be donated to Kaiapoi Menz Shed.
Planning to race and decorate? You’ll need to grab two ducks to join both competitions!
Ducks for decorating and race ducks can be purchased from the Silverstream Sales Office which is open from 9am–5pm, Mon–Fri.
Event Timeline
11am: Event starts, drop of decorated ducks, bouncy castle, lawn games and food stalls commence.
12pm: Duck race begins from Butchers Bridge.
12.30pm: Race and duck-decorating winners are announced.
