Antrim Bata Irish Stick Workshop

Uncle Machete Enterprises is bringing Irish Stick fighting to Kahnawa:ke for a 5 hour seminar.

There are a lot of people in the communtiy who like to walk for exercise, they usually have their walking stick or broken golf club. the only problem is, a lot of them don't know how to use it.

Kahnawa:ke Combat Academy is teaming up with Bataireacht and Historical Fencing Faction (BAHFF) to bring this martial art to the community.

Bataireacht uses the shillelagh, a type of forward weighted stick that could double as a walking staff. It became a staple of Irish culture, and blackthorn shillelaghs are still made in Ireland today.

Cost is 50$ per person, but thanks to the CWPI and Onkwata’karitáhtshera: Kahnawakehro:non and Kahnawa:ke Combat Academy students are free.
