- **Event Name**: Halloween Dance Party & Costume Contest
- **Event Start and End Date**: Sat, 01 Nov, 2025 at 06:30 pm
- **Event Description**: JUNCTION CITY — The North Fork Grange’s annual Halloween Dance Party and Costume Contest returns on Saturday, November 1, bringing music, mischief, and community spirit to the Grange Hall at 131 Dutch Creek Road. Doors open at 6:30 PM. Tickets are $20 for adults, and kids 16 and under get in free.

The evening kicks off at 7:15 PM with the Kids Costume Contest, where children 14 and under can show off their creativity and confidence as they strut their stuff on the catwalk. Once the winners are crowned, Rebel Tree—Trinity’s own Brazilian reggae funk band—will fire up the dance floor and get the party moving.

As the night heats up, the North Fork Grange welcomes back Makenu, returning by popular demand! Based in Arcata, Makenu is known for their high-energy “psychedelic cumbia,” blending traditional cumbia rhythms with ska, rock, and Latin beats. Their vibrant sound and infectious energy have made them a Humboldt County favorite—and they’re guaranteed to keep you dancing all night long.

At 10 PM, the band will take a short break while the Adult Costume Contest takes over the spotlight. Witches, warlocks, ghouls, and goblins—this is your time to shine on the catwalk before Makenu returns for one more lively set to close out the night. Beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase, along with a tempting selection of sweet treats. Nacha’s Empanadas will also be on site, serving up a delicious variety of handmade empanadas to keep dancers fueled and happy.

To make getting there easy (and getting home safe), Indian Creek Lodge and Vela Beauti are sponsoring a shuttle service. With the first pickup at 6:00 PM and the last return at 12:00 AM. Reservations are highly encouraged. Call 707-599-0002 to reserve your seat!.

This spooky celebration is brought to you with support from Indian Creek Lodge, Ascend Wilderness, the 49er Gold Country Inn, and Trinity County Brewing Company. So dust off your costumes, grab your dancing shoes, and join the fun!!
