This enchanting hiking destination is rich with natural beauty and cultural heritage. Highlights of Chbanieh • Nestled in the Lamartine Valley, named after the French poet who was captivated by its beauty. • Covered with verdant trees and orchards, typical of Lebanese mountain villages. • Home to ancient monuments, including the “graves of the Jews” and the cave “Magharat Harb”, which houses two natural springs, Kakha and Fouar. • Site of the ancient Mar Fram Monastery, which we will visit before the hike. Hike Details Both Level 3 and Level 6 start in Chbanieh and head towards new destinations in the Lamartine Valley: • Level 3: Mostly downhill, with breathtaking views, ending in Deir el Harf. • Level 6: A longer, 14 km route, ending in Kobbayh. Practical Info • Bring your packed lunch to enjoy at a scenic spot along the way. • After the hike, both groups will reunite and take the bus back to Beirut. Détails de la randonnée Les deux niveaux commenceront à Chbanieh et se dirigeront vers de nouvelles destinations dans la Vallée de Lamartine : • Niveau 3 : Principalement en descente, avec de superbes panoramas, arrivée à Deir el Harf. • Niveau 6 : Un parcours plus long de 14 km, se terminant à Kobbayh.
