Trade Up! Summer Camp

Children ages 10-14 can explore the four primary skilled trade sectors in our fun and engaging weeklong Trade Up! Summer Camp. Activities and projects include exploration of construction carpentry electricity plumbing and more! Camp attendees will also have the opportunity to explore the museum and experience a private showing of the Guinness Record holding Tesla Coil Show and tie dye a Hands On! tee shirt. Space is limited to ensure safety. Register early to secure a spot.

Dates: June 2nd-6th

Opportunities of this camp include:

- Learn how to safely and properly use a variety of hand and power tools.

- Build custom constructions.

- Draft blueprints for scale model designs.

- Wire a functional electrical gadget

- Fix the plumbing on an actual utility sink.

- Reverse engineering of gadgets computers electronics and more.

- Explore engineering and construction principles with Snap Circuits Legos K'nex and Keva Planks.

Times:

Drop-off: 9:00-9:15am

Early drop-off is available between 8:00am-9:00am for $50 for the week.

Pick-up: 4:30-4:45pm

Late pick-up is available between 4:30 and 5:30 pm. HODC has received grant funding from GSK to support extended programming for 2025 summer camps and therefore late pick-up is at no cost this year. Space is limited. GSK's Be a Health Scientist! program invites children to take the role of scientists and engineers as they investigate problems related to human health and well-being.

HODC Members: $300

Non-Members: $325

Campers MUST be 10 years old by June 1 2025 and no older than 14 years old on July 30 2025.
