- **Event Description**: Join us for the March meeting! We will have to meet on Tuesday 24 March 26!
We will be discussing several topics at this meeting. 

The spring build up is in full force. We will discuss how this last cold spell could have affected the hives and what can be done about it. 
We will discuss rotating boxes. When to do that verse moving all frames with brood to the bottom box. Why the difference and when to do either. 

We will discuss spring feeding. The transition from fondant to syrup. When and why. Also discuss feeding pollen patties if you have a colony that needs for pollen. 

We will discuss hanging swarm traps and site selection. There are many different ways but I’ve found a couple things that in my opinion do better. 

We will also discuss preparing to split colonies. When is best and what to do. This is a great way to deter swarms. I’ll be talking about the importance of having some splits with queens. 

Our annual beginner bee school will be held on Saturday April 4 2026 at the Appalachian fairgrounds. We will discuss some of the needs for that.  
The event for the bee school will also be posted!

We will briefly let anyone that still has nucs available to let that be known in case anyone needs to book a nuc still. This cold snap has been tough on our hives!

We will be raffling the 2 blocks of wax from the last meeting. Be sure to join the club and pay the dues so you will be eligible to win one of the blocks of wax!
Remember, you do not need to be a paid member to come to the meeting, all are welcome, but you need to be a paid member to win the prizes!!
