Schunke serves as the Director of Concepts for U.S. Army Pacific (USARPAC), where he leads the development and integration of future warfighting concepts to address strategic challenges in the Indo-Pacific. Commissioned as an Infantry Officer in 2003, his early career with the 82nd Airborne Division laid the foundation for his specialization in Information Operations (IO) and Special Technical Operations. With combat deployments to Afghanistan, the Philippines, and East Africa, his key assignments include tours with Special Operations Command – Pacific (SOCPAC), the U.S. Army Asymmetric Warfare Group, and the Pentagon.
