Experience a Japanese summer festival in Johor Bahru!

For three exciting days, AEON Mall Bandar Dato’ Onn will be transformed into a colourful Japanese matsuri filled with Bon Odori dancing, cultural performances, traditional activities, workshops, festival games and delicious food.

This festival brings together the Japanese and Malaysian communities through culture, friendship, food and shared experiences. Everyone is welcome—families, children, students, Japanese-culture lovers and first-time visitors! ?

Write your wish on a colourful Tanzaku paper strip and hang it on the Tanabata bamboo tree.

Watch the Japanese community demonstrate traditional rice pounding—and selected audience members may also have the opportunity to join!

「よいしょ！」の掛け声に合わせて、日本の伝統文化である餅つきを体験しましょう。
