JPL Book Club

Our April meeting is Monday, April 13th at 10:00 am.

Elizabeth Packard is not a household name, but she should be. When her selfish and cruel husband put her in an asylum in Jacksonville, Illinois, he thought he had taken away her voice. That was just the beginning of Elizabeth's life work and dedication to women's rights. The Woman They Could Not Silence by Kate Moore tells Elizabeth's story and her fight for freedom as well as mental health reform.

All are welcome.
