Lay My Burden Down is a searing exploration of one of Shakespeare's most devilish villains. Placed in 1947 Mississippi, it imagines Aaron the Moor, from Shakespeare's Titus Andronicus, as a death row inmate awaiting execution. It's the Bard meets the Blues as issues of faith, salvation, and the repercussions of a wicked life take center stage in this solo piece!
 
NOTE: This performance contains adult content and themes with strong, sometimes racially charged language. Viewer discretion is advised.
 
There will be no intermission.
