Sibongile Gwacela

Powerhouse vocalist and professional bassist Sibongile Gwacela performs with several all-female bands and also teaches music at various universities. She has travelled extensively, visiting countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Eswatini, Mozambique, Algeria, and Uganda.

Sibongile has performed at major venues including the Durban ICC, Sandton Convention Centre, Gallagher Estate, the Cape Town International Convention Centre, and numerous gala dinners. She has also taken the stage at leading festivals across the country, including the Macufe Festival, Mapungubwe Festival, Lesotho Festival, Cape Town Jazz Festival, and many others.
