Flowers have inspired composers - as diverse as the Baroque era’s Michael Preatorius, Romantic era’s Herbert Howells, and musical duo Rodgers and Hammerstein - to create music in their honour. There’ll be an opportunity for the audience to join us as we sing some popular and well-known songs in honour of flowers and nature and listen to Janré van Jaarsveld’s magnificent tenor voice. We’ll also celebrate the recent festivals of Easter and Passover with Handel’s famous Hallelujah Chorus and a Hebrew setting of Psalm 93 by Louis Lewandowski, Adoshem Moloch.As usual, the concert will be followed by one of our famous tea-time spreads when you’ll have an opportunity to get to know choir members – and maybe even consider joining us!An Early Bird special is available until 20 March 2026, so get your tickets soon to take advantage of this discount.Our new venue is the Marantha Dutch Church, 3 Sherborne Road, Parktown (just two properties from the well-known St George’s Anglican Church). Some parking is available on the premises and there will be car guards on duty in the street.
