Grond Stories Workshop Experience

!Honkia, The Grond Stories workshop experience returns to the Origins Centre!

On Saturday the 6th of December from 10am - 1:30pm we will explore a creative process lead by a collective vision - join us for visual art, poetry and tai chi.

Beginning with the ancient practice of Tai chi and Qigong, Lâoshī Michélle Festus will guide us in meditative movements that connect with the breath and root us to the earth.

/Xam Fortuin will then guide us through visual art exercises that express our unique creativity - a meditative drawing exercise will be followed by clay play and installation prep. Participants will work together to play with natural materials collected from Aba Té Farm, which will be made into sculptural installations to be installed in the museum’s garden.

To close the session, Katleho Habi will facilitate a short writing session in response to the activities that took place from the beginning of the event. This is a method of consolidating with presence — responses may take the form of prose, poetry or even song. Shortly after, each person will share their responsive experience of the grounding creative process that is Grond Stories.
