OMM Organic Movement Medicine featuring Nicky Convine Songbird live!

In this time of great upheaval and uncertainty it is easy for us to get dragged down into negativity and fear. This session is a powerful way to shake off the heaviness and reveal our underlying natural state of joy and peace.
For our last dance of the year we are being treated to the live sounds of Nicky Convine Songbird. A talented artist who writes lyrics for these times. Her songs will touch your soul and move your body.
Release deep held tension, raise vibration and then wind down to a sound immersion/meditation/relaxation.

We begin the session with a brief coming together in circle for intention setting and stress releasing breath practices. Then we warm up and stretch with slow floor-based stretches and self-guided movements to release physical, mental and emotional tension allowing for free-flowing energy. As the beat and intensity in the music raise so too will our bodies desire to move. You can just sit/lie/rest and listen anytime if that’s what you feel you need. The intensity will gradually build and then come back down to provide an opportunity for deep rest and meditation. We close by coming together for a group healing meditation.

No dance experience is required and this is truly an opportunity to go within and be guided by the rhythm to find your body’s own organic way to physically release what has been trapped in tension.
