He is invited to perform in the Jewish community of Izmir particularly as guest chazan on the High Holydays of Tishrei.He has preserved the special prayers from Izmir for the past 50 years. In his show he recalls memories of the sea by Izmir from whence he came to Israel as part of Youth Aliyah.After studying agronomics and after fulfilling his dream of working the soil of Israel Jako returned to singing the songs of his childhood – Turkish and Ladino melodies and the piyuttim of his community in Izmir.His rendering of the piyuttim combines Eastern melodic modes with Western musical influences.Among the piyuttim he performs: Avinu Malkeinu Mizmor l”David Adon Haslichot Mi Pi El and more."A very moving well-made and tight performance""Simply excellent.
