Asara B'Tevet, a day of fasting and mourning in Jewish tradition, has also been designated by the Chief Rabbinate as a day of Holocaust Remembrance. Through personal narrative and evocative verse, Marty will explore themes of loss, legacy and resilience - offering a unique lens into the intergenerational impact of the Shoah.

Martin Herskovitz is the son of a Holocaust survivor, a poet and a Spiegel Fellow at the Finkler Institute of Holocaust Research. He has developed the "Creating Memory" initiative which implements programs using poetry, art, and performances to connect future generations to Holocaust Remembrance.
