במרכז ההפקה המקורית עומדת תפיסה בימתית חדשנית של דמותה של סינדרלה, המבקשת להתמקד באנושיות שבה: במקום להדגיש רק את המימד האגדי והקסום, מאירה ההפקה את תהליך ההתבגרות הרגשי של סינדרלה -  את היכולת לבחור באהבה שאינה אשליה, אלא הכרה צלולה בערכה העצמי ובערכו של האחר.

הקסם אינו רק אמצעי עלילתי, אלא ביטוי לרגעים שבהם המציאות והחלום נוגעים זה בזה – רגעים שבריריים שבהם מגלה סינדרלה את כוחה הפנימי. זוהי דמות הפועלת מתוך אמת, אומץ ונאמנות לעצמה, וסיפורה הוא סיפור של מסע צמיחה ובחירה באהבה – גם כשהדרך אליה אינה קלה.

ההפקה המרהיבה כוללת תלבושות מפוארות, קאסט מובחר של זמרים ישראלים צעירים ומוכשרים, ולצידם רקדנים המעצימים את ממד הפנטזיה של היצירה ומעניקים לבמה תנועה, צבע וחיים.
המוסיקה העדינה של מסנה משתלבת בקסם התיאטרלי של האגדה ויוצרת חוויה מוסיקלית ובימתית לבני כל הגילים.

The Opera "Cinderella" by Jules Massenet
The Jerusalem Opera and the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra present the magical opera Cinderella (Cendrillon) by the French composer Jules Massenet in its Israeli premiere.
This is a one-time festive performance offering the audience a rare opportunity to experience the Cinderella legend for the first time in Israel, in one of its most exciting and spectacular musical versions.

At the heart of the original production lies an innovative stage interpretation of Cinderella’s character, one that seeks to emphasize her humanity. Rather than focusing solely on the fairy-tale and magical elements, the production illuminates Cinderella’s emotional coming-of-age — her ability to choose a love that is not an illusion, but a clear-eyed recognition of her own worth and that of the other.
Magic is not merely a narrative device, but an expression of those moments when reality and dream touch — fragile instants in which Cinderella discovers her inner strength. This is a character who acts מתוך truth, courage, and fidelity to herself; her story is one of growth and of choosing love — even when the path toward it is not easy.
The stunning production includes luxurious costumes, a distinguished cast of talented young Israeli singers, and alongside them, dancers who enhance the fantasy dimension of the work, bringing movement, color, and life to the stage.
Massenet’s delicate music intertwines with the theatrical magic of the fairy tale, creating a musical and theatrical experience for audiences of all ages.
