Unfortunately we won't be witnessing a colourful Pink Moon as seen in our AI image...
April’s Full Moon often corresponded with the early springtime blooms of a certain wildflower native to eastern North America: Phlox subulata—commonly called Moss Pink.
This is the first Full Moon of Spring and it serves as the Paschal Full Moon, which helps determine the date of Easter.
Moonrise time: 20.33
Sunset time: 19.41
Once again we shall be pointing the telescope and binoculars
skyward to explore a different world.
We shall view the full moon in more details and look out for Spring constellations, satellites and anything else that may appear in the night sky!
Obviously we are hoping for a clear night and light winds!
Please meet us at the benches above Long Beach car park, Grouville, from 20.00 onwards.
If you have binoculars and a folding chair please bring them along.
Warm clothing, a blanket and a hot drink could be useful too!
We hope you can join us for what is becoming a very popular social event for all the family.
