Understanding the basics of computers can help you become more independent and confident having a computer in your home or workplace.Throughout the course, you will explore program controls, menus, the Start menu, and using the taskbar. You will start programs, create a Microsoft account, work with apps, and use email. Next, you will learn how and where to save files, a critical skill for all computer work. You will tackle file management, save files, and create folders on the local PC and the cloud. Finally, you will learn best practices for using the Internet by using various web browsers and focusing on effective searches and how to protect against Internet threats. You will also use the Outlook and Word online apps as well as OneDrive.
