Life Drawing Sessions are held each 1st and 3rd Saturdays from 12 noon to 3pm. During this time, participants will have the opportunity to draw a live nude model in a historic studio setting. Space is limited for each session, so please send an email to
amVyb21lbGlmZWRyYXdpbmcgfCBnbWFpbCAhIGNvbQ== or text 928-254-9932 to save your spot if you plan to attend!
Participants should bring their own art supplies (for example: paper, pencil, charcoal, chalk or oil pastel, paint, clay, etc.) They may also bring an easel. We do have a easels available, on a first-come basis.
For anyone needing art supplies - we do have paper, pencils, charcoal, and chalk pastels available for a nominal fee.
Our Models are experienced and will offer a variety of timed poses during the 3-hour session (several 1 & 5 minute gestures for warm-ups; progressing to15-30 minute poses, then ending with a long pose of 45- 60 minutes depending on time remaining.).
Models will also take scheduled breaks of 5 minutes every half hour, so the actual drawing time for the session is closer to 2.5 hours total.
Life Drawing Sessions have a suggested fee of 25 dollars per person to cover the cost of the Model and studio. Tips for our Models are also appreciated!
Note:
Life Drawing Sessions are designed to offer participants (whether novice or professional) the experiential practice and discipline of drawing from life.
They are intended to be a shared art-making experience where all will be challenged to grow.
They are not meant to be an instructional drawing class.
We hope to see you in the Studio!
