Create your own junk journal from old books, found objects, and recycled materials! Supplies will be provided, but please feel free to bring your own materials, too. Adults only. Registration required.
So, what exactly is junk journaling? That's really up to you! On a basic level, junk journaling refers to the act of creating your own journal out of found and recycled materials, like discarded library books, magazines, receipts, maps, paper scraps, and whatever else strikes your fancy. Over time, you can continue adding to your junk journal and use it in a variety of different ways. Tammy Nadeau will lead this workshop, providing examples and teaching participants how to bind journals. All necessary materials will be provided, but you are welcome to bring supplies with you, as well. This program is intended for adults.
Building accessibility note: We are working hard on a project to make our historic building accessible to all community members. At the moment, the building can only be accessed via a set of steps leading up to the front entrance. We are committed to providing inclusive programming, services, and collections, and we may be able to relocate programs or make them available online with advanced planning. Please email
