Whether you’re adding new species to your life list or simply enjoying the thrill of a birding adventure, this series offers the perfect opportunity to connect with nature and experience the best of birding in Martin County.February's program will feature the Florida scrub habitat at Savannas Preserve State Park- Hawks Bluff Trail. The Hawks Bluff trail showcases a variety ofbeautiful Florida habitats including scrub, pine flatwoods, oak hammock and basin wetlands. Featured program lead: John Nelson, President of the Audubon of Martin CountyDETAILSFREE program, but reservations are requiredState Park entry fees apply ($3 per car up to 8 ppl). You can purchase a one day pass online This program will begin at 8:30am and last until approximately 10:30amThe length of this nature walk is about 1-1.5 miles across various natural surfaces, including uneven trail with sand, roots, and compact dirtPlease wear appropriate outdoor clothing and footwearBring water, sunscreen, and bug sprayMinors (under 18) must be accompanied by an adultNo petsAll participants will be required to sign waivers that will be provided at the start of the programVISITOR INFORMATIONIf you are a visitor planning a trip to Martin County and would like to preregister for the event, please email ecotourism@martin.fl.usLooking for an eco-friendly place to stay while visiting Martin County?
