Join us for a New Year's Sunrise Hike! We'll meet at the Preserve parking lot at 6:30am and then carpool to a private entrance higher up on the preserve. From there we will watch the sun rise from Hawk Hill and hike through the forest to the Cathedral Tree, a magnificent old-growth redwood. We'll meander on our way back and learn about the redwood ecosystem and our forest manangement on the Preserve.Total hike will be about 4 miles with 500' of elevation gain.Please note that we cannot accomodate early departures since we will be parked behind a locked gate.Suggested Items to BringLayers for warmthHeadlampWater and snacksHiking poles if you need them
