Terrorthon 4 comes to a close with a 35mm screening of the 1987 film THE GATE! ???????? ?????? ??? ??????? ??? ????????? ??? ?? hiwaytheater.org/terror

????? ??? ?????: We close out TerrorThon 4 with a 35mm screening of THE GATE — a film often hailed as Canada’s answer to Poltergeist. When a 12-year-old boy, his older sister, and his metalhead best friend are left home alone, they discover that a portal to Hell has opened in their backyard, unleashing a swarm of demonic creatures. Over the years, it has earned a devoted cult following as a quintessential “gateway horror” movie for kids of the ’80s and ’90s. Packed with an eerie atmosphere and unforgettable practical effects, THE GATE remains a wildly entertaining supernatural chiller.

Presented on a 35mm print courtesy of Brian Darwas.

**Because we are operating with a single projector, this special 35mm screening will be presented with a short intermission to accommodate a reel change! **
