Would you love for neighbors to exchange mugs or puzzles or tiny dinosaurs as they walk down the sidewalk? Let's add some whimsy to our little town! Sidewalk Joy is any kind of joyful installation you put at the sidewalk in front of your house, which brings joy to you and your neighbors. Many people choose to offer exchanges of some kind -- like books, for example, in a Little Free Library. But it can be anything, and exchange isn't necessary! Some people use them for "tiny art" exhibitions or create intricate miniature scenes for others to see. The kind of joy you share is up to you. Join us at Billund Centret, in Rumlig (the room next to the library), on 20 June from 10:30-12:00. We will help each household imagine what their unique sidewalk joy contribution could be, and then we'll have time to decorate our installations so each has its own personality! You'll take it home with you, fill it up with joy, and place it out by the sidewalk. With consent, each installation will be added to a digital map so your neighbors can visit them all.
