🌍 ABOUT THIS EXPERIENCE
🥾 This is more than a hike — it’s a journey through African and African American heritage.
🥾 The day begins with a ½-mile historical walk through replicas of Gullah Geechee culture, as powerful stories of the Igbo Landing, the Middle Passage, and the strength of our ancestors come to life.
🥾 After the cultural walk, we’ll continue with a 3-mile hike beneath the beautiful shaded trees of Jekyll Island, featuring peaceful beach views and cool coastal air.
🥾 The experience combines education, reflection, and movement — a powerful opportunity to learn, connect, and honor our history together.
🥾 This is the history they don’t teach you in school, but it’s the foundation of our culture, resilience, and identity.
⸻
🌤 WEATHER
🥾 Expect highs near 74 °F and lows in the upper 50s — perfect fall weather for walking the coast.
🥾 Shaded trails, ocean breeze, and peaceful surroundings.

It is expected to be cold so probably not mosquitos🙌
