Dress in layers and wear sturdy, comfortable shoes suitable for uneven ground.Whether you're starting out or looking to refine your skills, this workshop offers practical knowledge and hands-on experience to help you care for your own fruit trees.Include 1 rootstock plant with ticket purchase.Meet Your TeacherPete Walton grew up in rural Loudoun County, Virginia, where he discovered his passion for regenerative agriculture while volunteering with a grassroots urban farming community during his time at James Madison University. After a transformative semester wilderness expedition in Patagonia with the National Outdoor Leadership School, Pete committed to reconnecting people with nature through farming and food. His diverse experience spans vegetable and livestock farming at Willowsford Farm and George’s Mill Farm, managing a small tree nursery, and helping to establish the fruit orchard at Fox Haven Farm. He also helped launch the Piedmont Environmental Council’s Community Farm at Roundabout Meadows, organizing volunteer days and producing thousands of pounds of food for local food banks.
