Rituals for Body Acceptance

Because of the very well-funded and promoted Body Shame Profit Complex, many of us struggle with feeling good about our bodies. This is especially true in the winter, where holiday treats may have packed on a few pounds, our mental health is suffering from the lack of sunlight, and even though there may still be snow on the ground, the pressure to have a summer beach body is already starting. Please join us for a discussion about how these images we are force fed by society have caused us to forget what wonderful creations our bodies are, followed by a group meditation, and suggestions for rituals to help you accept (and maybe even learn to love!) your meat suit again.

Your instructor will be Lory Cosner, an eclectic witch and social worker, who has spent most of her adult life as a fat person and pretty much her entire life with a surgical injury and an ugly scar that she used to be really self-conscious about.
