The student MUST know and be able to demonstrate how to safely load, fire, and unload a handgun. Open to all. Background checks are required, unless the student is a sworn law enforcement officer, corrections officer, private licensed security, or US Military personnel. Documented completion of a basic handgun safety course is required.

Students failing to meet and maintain our safety requirements and/or who cannot meet and immediately demonstrate the minimum skills required for the specific class may be removed from training. Please ensure you have read through the class description and fully understand our prerequisites before registering.

COURSE OUTLINE
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

Demonstrate the safe use and handling of a handgun.
Choose a holster for your personal needs.
Safely and efficiently draw from and recover to a holster.
Demonstrate foundational shooting techniques.
Safely and efficiently load, reload, and unload a handgun.
Safely and efficiently hit a target with the dominant hand only.
EQUIPMENT LIST
Quality functional semi-automatic pistol – Full size and compact pistols only (semi-auto center fire pistols only - revolvers or .22 caliber pistols are not allowed.
NO micro pistols or pocket pistols to include: P238, P938, P365, M&P Shield, Glock 43, etc.
Full framed “Micro guns” can be used (Fuse, x macro, etc.). Firearm must have high magazine capacity, etc. However, it will always come down to Instructor discretion.
3 magazines
Magazine pouch
Dominant side, hip-mounted outside the waistband belt-mounted holster. No IWB Holsters.
Please wear long pants with pockets and belt loops, a sturdy 1.5" belt, closed toe shoes (no flip flops or sandals), and a crew neck (T-shirt) or button-up shirt (no low-cut neckline)
Hydration system
Wraparound eyewear, polycarbonate lenses or non-shattering prescription glasses
Recommend electronic hearing protection or earmuffs and earplugs
Loading devices (optional)

Can rent firearms and buy ammo though us if needed.
